At 9:00, we will pick you up from your hotel to start the tour. Our first stop will be at the animal market where you can witness the buying and selling of sheep, goats, and cows from all over Gambia. Here, you can observe the negotiation skills of the owners.
Next, we will head to Brikama to visit a vibrant market where locals come to buy their groceries. You will find a variety of products ranging from vegetables, fruits, fish, clothes, shoes, and more. In addition to local products, tourists can also purchase souvenirs.
We will drive to AbCa’s Creek Lodge for a boat trip. This boat trip is a true experience. You sail in an original Gambian boat through the mangroves: this is a unique experience. We will have lunch at AbCa’s Creek Lodge where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery. During lunch you can enjoy nature.
After lunch we will visit a family in a compound. We prefer to visit one where tourists are not common visitors.
During this visit you will experience how the daily life of the residents is and what there customs and habits are. If possible, we will also visit a school.
We will drive back to the coast area where we will visit the fish market of Tanzi. Fishermen are coming back from sea to sell their catch at the beach. You will be amazed by the variety of fish. One of the biggest fishes is the barracuda.
After the fismarket we will drop you off at your hotel.
