At 09:00 you will be picked up at your hotel.
Our first stop will be at the animal market. From all over Gambia sheep, goats and cows are brought to the market to be sold. You can witness the negotiation skills of the owners.
After that we will go Brikama where we will visit a colorful market. Many Gambian people come here to buy their groceries. Local people come here to buy vegetables, fruit, fish, cloths, shoes and so on. Besides the local products, tourists can also buy souvenirs.
We will drive to AbCa’s Creek Lodge for a boat trip. This boat trip is a true experience. You sail in an original Gambian boat through the mangroves: this is a unique experience. Our guide will show you the most beautiful spots where you can see birds, water otters and monkeys. We have the most silent boat you can imagine because of the absence of a motor. For that reason you will have a very good chance to spot these animals. Our guide will tell you all the names of the birds in Dutch! He has more than 16 years of experience and as a matter of fact spotting birds is his hobby.
We will have lunch at AbCa’s Creek Lodge where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery. During lunch you can enjoy nature.
After lunch we will visit a family in a compound. We prefer to visit one where tourists are not common visitors.
During this visit you will experience how the daily life of the residents is and what there customs and habits are. If possible, we will also visit a school.
We will drive back to the coast area where we will visit the fish market of Tanzi. Fishermen are coming back from sea to sell their catch at the beach. You will be amazed by the variety of fish. One of the biggest fishes is the barracuda.
After the fismarket we will dropp you off at your hotel.
